🛫 Day 1: Drive from Addis Ababa to Bale Mountains (Dinsho HQ)

🚗 Morning: Depart from Addis Ababa

  • Drive ~7-8 hours via Shashamene and the Rift Valley.
  • Enjoy views of lakes, farmlands, and the scenic Gaysay Grasslands.
  • Stop for lunch in Shashamene or Asella.

🏕️ Afternoon: Arrive at Bale Mountains (Dinsho HQ)

  • Register at the Bale Mountains National Park Headquarters (Dinsho).
  • Take a short hike to see the Menelik’s bushbuck and mountain nyala.
  • Overnight: Dinsho Lodge or camping near the park entrance.

  • Drive to Sanetti Plateau (4,000m), home to:
