Cooking & Tasting tour starts with a guided tour of Mercato targeted on the spice and cooking ingredients, followed by a hands-on cooking commentaries where you’ll prepare traditional dishes like injera and a hot sauce of Awaze. Finish with a tasting session in the baking site or in the cultural restaurant. This tour is accompanied with Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony Experience. During this tour guests get a brief history of Ethiopia's coffee, take part in a traditional coffee ceremony, and enjoy freshly brewed coffee along with local snacks.
The food tasting tour will also include the traditional honey wine, as a key cultural and culinary experience. Tej is a homemade, mildly alcoholic beverage made from honey. During the tour, guests stop at local bars where Tej is served in traditional glassware.
